52 Weeks of Organizing

Could this really get any simpler? I don't think so. Here's my list so far of my 52 things to do this year. I will say now that I give myself permission to miss a week or two due to illness or some other unforeseen reason. However, I promise to do my best to actually get things done. I can do this!

Week 1 (Jan 2-8) DONE
Toss out some bags of clothes that have been sitting in a corner of our bedroom for nearly a year now.

Week 2 (Jan 9-15)
File away all the 3 months of paperwork that has been sitting on my file cabinet, including cleaning my desk area and under it. Lots of paperwork to go through and either file or toss.

Week 3 (Jan 16-22)
Go through the box and stuff that has accumulated in and on it that is sitting by our front entrance. Get rid of the box.

Week 4 (Jan 23-29)
Clean off our black ottoman and move it to the entrance spot, store the rest of our blankets and extra couch pillows in it.

Week 5 (Jan 30-Feb 5)
Purge my daughter's toys, which are currently threatening to take over our living room.

Week 6 (Feb 6-12)
Finish cleaning out boxes that are still in the boys' room.

Week 7 (Feb 13-19)
Get ready for local moms club used clothes and toy sale. Part 1- get all the items together and get the tags done.

Week 8 (Feb 20-26)
Part 2- Finish the tags for the sale and tag items

Week 9 (Feb 27-Mar 5)
Clean out the hallway closet.

Week 10 (Mar 6-Mar 12)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

So this month went by quickly. So quickly that I never got out our Christmas cards. Yesterday I took the kids out to a local park and took some photos. I think they came out great. So instead of Christmas cards I'm sending out New Year cards- which you can see HERE.

Since 2011 is a New Year and next year I'll do everything on time, including sending out my Christmas cards on time.

Going Crazy?

Is it wrong to be so excited about saving nearly $7 on a package of Pull-Ups? Got a package of 80 ct Pull-ups for $13!
I want to share it with everyone- which is why I worry about my craziness.

End of Summer

Outside there is a breeze, the sun is blocked by clouds and there's a definite chill in the air. Unlike other parts of the northern hemisphere, it as been a fairly cold summer this year. We had maybe a total of 2 weeks of days that were warm enough for the pool. My boys have been very sad over that fact. Even yesterday when I asked them what they wanted to do for the last week of summer they said 'go to the pool'. I hope the weather improves next week.

Yesterday was registration and the boys are signed up for school. Last year I was excited for school to start and to have some quiet in my days. This year, not so much. In fact I know I'm going to miss the boys. Sure I still have my 'baby' at home but I know that she too is going to miss her brothers during the day.
